Evil Emperors

Everyone's afraid of something. Some people are afraid of dark creepy things like spiders and men's bathrooms. Others find mundane things like open spaces abjectly horrifying. I, personally, am afraid of penguins.

I've never been able to buy into the Happy Feet and March of the Penguins cuteness theory. Happy Feet left me wondering what happened to the plot, and March of the Penguins just filled me with a questioning kind of terror: that many knee sized creatures, huddled together, starving, with razor sharp hunters beaks- well, doesn't it strike you as threatening? Not to mention the emperors' obscenely large bellies and disproportionately sized heads.

My fear of penguins isn't really the issue, though, because, again, everyone is afraid of something. I've called this blog "The Weekly Penguin" because I'm a firm believer that life should also be filled with rough and tumble matches with challenges where everyone grabs the proverbial penguin by its non-existant neck, and gives it a good shaking to put it in its place. So I've started this blog to deal with challenges announce the triumphs, and talk about a jumble other randomness in between. I hope you enjoy, and don't take the animal brutality seriously.
